Offering the free online/virtual course “Write for Your Life: Turning Trauma into Stories

We will explore strategies to create vivid, compelling stories (fiction and/or nonfiction) from difficult experiences

KIGALI, Rwanda, March 19, 2019/APO Group/ --

The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) at the US Department of State and the International Writing Program (IWP) at the University of Iowa are offering the free online/virtual course “Write for Your Life: Turning Trauma into Stories”.

We will explore strategies to create vivid, compelling stories (fiction and/or nonfiction) from difficult experiences. As a community of writers, we will examine and discuss published texts, as well as provide feedback on student work. By the end of the course,
you will have produced a significant body of narrative prose.

Course date: May 7-31, 2019
Interested candidates should apply by April 8, 2019.
