Privacy & Data Protection Policy

News and journalism are public activities. Your name, business contact details, professional interests and affiliations may already be publicly available, particularly if you are a journalist, a recognized expert, or a PR professional.

APO Group, as a media relations consultancy firm, handles a lot of professional information from journalists and PR professionals, and we have always strived to keep this data private and secure. As such, we have taken steps to make sure we are compliant with the recently introduced General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Collecting and treating journalist and PR professionals’ data is the essence of APO Group’s activity and is a legitimate interest in order to provide both PR professionals and journalists with accurate and useful services.

APO Group does not provide any professional data from journalists to third parties. This has always been our internal policy and has been enforced since day one.

To find out what information we have collected about you or if you want any changes made you can email privacy@apo-opa.org, and our Data Compliance Officer will make sure to treat your request within reasonable time.
