Director-General of the Department of African Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Lin Songtian Holds Briefing for Diplomatic Envoys of African Countries to China

Forty-nine diplomatic envoys of African countries and their assistants were present

On October 21, 2016, Secretary General of the Chinese Follow-up Committee of Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and Director-General of the Department of African Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Lin Songtian held a briefing for diplomatic envoys of African countries to China on important outcomes of the Coordinators' Meeting on the Implementation of the Follow-up Actions of the FOCAC Johannesburg Summit and the progress of the implementation of summit outcomes. Forty-nine diplomatic envoys of African countries and their assistants were present.

Lin Songtian thanked the envoys for their important contributions to the complete success of the coordinators' meeting, introduced the new changes in the transformation and upgrade of China-Africa cooperation, and elaborated the five major cooperation concepts of common, intensive, green, safe and open development. He said that China is willing to work with African countries to uphold the five major cooperation concepts to ensure the safe, orderly and effective implementation of summit outcomes.

Envoys highly praised China for suiting actions to its words and implementing summit outcomes in an efficient and pragmatic manner. They expressed the willingness to work with China to actively create conditions for mutually beneficial cooperation and promote China-Africa friendly cooperation to better benefit the two peoples.
