EU willing to keep on Supporting Tunisia

In a phone talk with Minister Othman Jerandi, Varhelyi voinced regret over the postponement of his visit to Tunisia

European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Olivér V?rhelyi reaffirmed Tuesday, fmarch 1st 2022, the European Union's firm commitment to keep on supporting Tunisia in addressing its current challenges.

In a phone talk with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad Othman Jerandi, Varhelyi voinced regret over the postponement of his visit to Tunisia, initially scheduled for March 1-3, due to the latest developments in the security situation in Europe

The official further reiterated the EU's willingness to "honour the promises related notably to the financial and economic support to Tunisia," promises that would have been announced by the European commissioner during his visit to Tunisia.

The two officials agreed to reschedule this visit for the coming days, the same source specified.
