President El-Sisi Meets the Prime Minister and the Minister of Housing

President El-Sisi gave directives to launch an initiative, in cooperation with international universities in the New Administrative Capital, to sponsor a number of outstanding students from Upper Egypt to study in these international universities

The discussions also touched on efforts to link the axes and roads of the New Administrative Capital to all districts and sectors of Greater Cairo

Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with Prime Minister, Dr. Moustafa Madbouly, and Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Dr. Assem El-Gazzar. The meeting was also attended by Head of the Armed Forces‘ Financial Affairs Authority, Lieutenant General Ahmed El-Shazly, Advisor to the President for Urban Planning, Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the New Administrative Capital, Eng. Khaled Abbas and Chairman of the Armed Forces’ Engineering Authority, Major General Ahmed Al-Azzazi.

The Spokesman for the Presidency, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, said the meeting reviewed progress in construction work underway in the New Administrative Capital, including facilities, roads, internal axes, as well as residential and commercial areas. This came in light of the beginning of the gradual relocation of ministries to the government district in the New Administrative Capital. The discussions also touched on efforts to link the axes and roads of the New Administrative Capital to all districts and sectors of Greater Cairo through modern means of mass transportation, and reviewed the transportation system inside the capital itself and work progress in the Central Bus Station.

The President gave directives to follow-up on the various construction works and projects in the New Administrative Capital closely and periodically, while adhering to the highest standards of quality, safety and sound management, in line with the latest technological systems in this field. President El-Sisi also stressed the need to give due attention to the operation, management and maintenance systems in the New Capital’s districts and facilities, particularly the central district, the government district and the various public facilities so as to ensure the sustainability of the international quality standards which were established and maintained at the highest level.

President El-Sisi gave directives to launch an initiative, in cooperation with international universities in the New Administrative Capital, to sponsor a number of outstanding students from Upper Egypt to study in these international universities, in line with the state's policy to allow all citizens from across the republic to benefit from the best opportunities and services offered in the New Administrative Capital.
