Defence completes preliminary investigation into fire incident at Waterkloof Air Force Base

The report will be compiled and given to the Chief of the SANDF to apply his mind on it

When the Chief of the SANDF has fully studied the report, and gave his guidelines, it will then be communicated to all members of the media as earlier promised

The South African National Defence Force completes preliminary investigation into the fire incident that broke out at Air Force Base Waterkloof on Sunday, 23 January 2022

The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) can confirm that the preliminary investigation into the fire that broke out at Air Force Base Waterkloof on Sunday, 23 January 2022 has been completed. And, the report will be compiled and given to the Chief of the SANDF to apply his mind on it.

When the Chief of the SANDF has fully studied the report, and gave his guidelines, it will then be communicated to all members of the media as earlier promised.

To this effect, a Board of Inquiry has been convened.
