Deputy PS of Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture Invited to Germany

The programme will include meetings with representatives of the German Archaeological Institute and the German Commission for UNESCO

On 30 May 2017, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Namibia Christian Schlaga presented Ms. Kauaria with her letter of invitation at the embassy

WINDHOEK, Namibia, May 30, 2017/APO/ --

The Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Arts and Culture, Ms. Veno Kauaria has been invited to participate in a visit to Germany, themed “Maintaining and Protecting Cultural Heritage in Germany and Around the World”. The visit takes place from 16 until 23 July 2017 and is part of the Visitors’ Programme of the Federal Republic of Germany. 

Together with specialist journalists and representatives of government agencies from around the world, Ms Kauaria will be presented an introduction to the federal system and to the roles of different actors with a view to maintaining and protecting cultural heritage in Germany and abroad. The programme will include meetings with representatives of the German Archaeological Institute and the German Commission for UNESCO.  

The group will visit world heritage sites in Germany, talk with site managers, representatives of Länder governments and experts specializing in environmental protection and the protection of historical monuments.  

On 30 May 2017, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Namibia Christian Schlaga presented Ms. Kauaria with her letter of invitation at the embassy.
