UN Committee on Migrant Workers to review Madagascar and Mozambique

The Committee will discuss a range of issues relating to the implementation of the Convention with the respective government delegations

GENEVA, Switzerland, August 31, 2018/APO Group/ --

The Committee on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of their Families (CMW) will meet in Geneva from 3 to 12 September to review Madagascar and Mozambique.

The above are among the 52 States parties to the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families. They are required to submit regular reports to the Committee, which is composed of 14 international independent human rights experts.

The Committee will discuss a range of issues relating to the implementation of the Convention with the respective government delegations. The sessions, held in the first floor conference room of Palais Wilson in Geneva, will take place on the following schedule:

Monday, 3 September

10:00-13:00

15:00-18:00 Mozambique

Tuesday, 4 September

10:00-13:00 Mozambique

15:00-18:00 Madagascar

Wednesday, 5 September

10:00-13:00 Madagascar

15:00-18:00
