Somalia: Foreign Minister Inaugurates a Course on Diplomacy for 45 Government Employees

The Foreign Minister praised the importance of such training for Somali diplomats which seeks to build their technical and administrative capabilities

The Institute will in the near future roll out new courses in partnership with other institutes and policy centres

MOGADISHU, Somalia, April 12, 2022/APO Group/ --

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E Mr. Abdisaid Muse Ali, inaugurated a training course on diplomacy and protocol organized by the Ministry’s Diplomatic Institute.

The Foreign Minister praised the importance of such training for Somali diplomats which seeks to build their technical and administrative capabilities to improve Ministry’s efficiency and effectiveness in delivering the foreign policy priorities of Somalia.

In addition, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E. Mr. Mohamud Abdi Hassan (Pekos) further underscored the Institute’s role in implementing Somalia’s foreign priorities and urged the leadership of the institute to sustain the delivery of rigorous courses for its diplomats.

In the past 6 months, over 100 diplomats and government employees have benefited from various trainings and courses. The Institute will in the near future roll out new courses in partnership with other institutes and policy centres.
