Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus V.Makei meets the Minister of External Relations of Angola

During the meeting, the sides summed up the results of the visit, discussed in detail the plan of measures to enhance bilateral cooperation in the political, trade and economic spheres

The parties agreed to establish a joint intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, the first meeting of which should be held before the end of this year

On June 28, 2017 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Vladimir Makei, met with the Minister of External Relations of Angola, Georges Rebelo Pinto Chicoti, on the occasion of the completion of his official visit to our country.
 

During the meeting, the sides summed up the results of the visit, discussed in detail the plan of measures to enhance bilateral cooperation in the political, trade and economic spheres.

The parties agreed to establish a joint intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation, the first meeting of which should be held before the end of this year.

The Ministers underlined that the key promising project in the field of industrial cooperation is the elaboration of the creation of an assembly production of “Belarus” tractors in Angola. The parties also agreed to promote the development of mutual trade, including the supply of quarry equipment, trucks and other Belarusian products to this African country.

The Minister of External Relations of Angola thanked the Belarusian side for hospitality and a very busy agenda of the visit, highly appreciated the prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation following the resultas of the meetings and negotiations held in Minsk.

Foreign Ministers of the two countries agreed to continue the dialogue in Luanda during the return visit of the Belarusian Foreign Minister to Angola.
