Minister Muthambi to Wrap up Public Service Month in Mpumalanga

The theme for the 2017 PSM is “Together Moving the Public Service Forward; we belong, we care, we serve”

The PSM programme seeks to instil and rebuild good ethics, morale, pride and professionalism on how public servants do their work

Public Service and Administration Minister, Ms Faith Muthambi will wrap-up the Public Service Month by holding an indaba to revitalize the Batho Pele Principles in the Thembisile Hani Local Municipality, Mpumalanga Province.

Public Service Month (PSM) is an integral part of the Batho Pele programme which is celebrated during the month of September every year. The PSM programme seeks to instil and rebuild good ethics, morale, pride and professionalism on how public servants do their work. It is also in during this period wherein dedicated public servants who practice the Batho Pele Principles are celebrated.

The theme for the 2017 PSM is “Together Moving the Public Service Forward; we belong, we care, we serve”. Among others, the theme provides an opportunity to reflect on the 20th Anniversary of the implementation of Batho Pele Principles.

The Minister will be accompanied by the leadership of Mpumalanga Provincial Government, Nkangala District Municipality, and Thembisile Hani Local Municipality.
