Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh has expressed deep regret over the death of a number of people in a terrorist attack in Burkina Faso.

Khatibzadeh condemned the attack and expressed sympathy with the government and people of Burkina Faso as well as the bereft families of the dead.

Khatibzadeh added the key factor driving the surge of terror groups is that certain regional countries benefit from insecurity and instability.
