BRUSSELS, Belgium, August 18, 2017/APO/ --

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Didier Reynders is pleased to learn that the three people who were stranded in Morocco after an incident in a hotel were able to return to Belgium and join their families.

From the beginning, Belgian Foreign Affairs provided consular assistance and support to those concerned, in particular facilitating access to a lawyer, through the Honorary Consulate in Agadir and the Consulate General in Casablanca. The Minister is pleased to learn that an agreement has been reached to allow the three Belgians to return home in agreement with the authorities and in compliance with local laws.
