Ambassador Brewer visited U.S. government-supported projects

Ambassador Brewer visited U.S. government-supported projects, met with a cross-section of traditional leaders, and members of the district councils in Makeni and Kono

FREETOWN, Sierra Leone, November 3, 2017/APO Group/ --

"I am the U.S. Ambassador to Sierra Leone and not just to Freetown.” This was Ambassador Maria Brewer’s key message as she made her first visit outside of Freetown to Makeni and Kono respectively. For Ambassador Brewer, coming to Sierra Leone as an Ambassador felt like a homecoming after having served at the U.S. Embassy in Sierra Leone in another capacity from 1999 to 2001. During her two-day visit, Ambassador Brewer visited U.S. government-supported projects, met with a cross-section of traditional leaders, and members of the district councils in Makeni and Kono.
