U.S., UNICEF, Procter & Gamble Support IDPs with Donation of Relief Supplies

ABUJA, Nigeria, November 26, 2015/APO (African Press Organization)/ --

The U.S. Mission to Nigeria will join the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) to donate hygiene products and personal care items provided by Procter & Gamble, a U.S. corporation, to internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Borno State.  U.S. Ambassador James F. Entwistle and Borno State Governor Kashim Shettima will preside over the ceremony and offer remarks.  The event will demonstrate the collective role that the U.S. government, international development partners, and the private sector are playing in providing humanitarian assistance to IDPs.  Members of the media are highly encouraged to cover this event.
