Urban HIV Nutrition and Food Security Project Closeout

The $42 million project was funded through the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) with a five-year implementation period by the World Food Programme

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and its partner the World Food Programme will mark the successful completion of the Urban HIV Nutrition and Food Security Project. 

The project improved the nutritional, economic, and food security status of people living with HIV. The project mainly focused on food security interventions and provided food assistance to people living with HIV through food vouchers. In addition, the project helped to organize village saving and loan associations and enabled members to start or expand businesses. 
The $42 million project was funded through the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) with a five-year implementation period by the World Food Programme.
