President Faure condemns Terror Attack in Saint Petersburg and sends message of condolence to Russia

President Faure reiterated that Seychelles condemns acts of terrorism and it was his hope that those responsible for this heinous crime would swiftly be brought to justice

In the wake of the deadly terror attack in a Saint Petersburg metro station claiming ten lives and injuring many others, President Danny Faure has sent a message of solidarity and condolence to the President of the Russian Federation, H.E. Vladimir Putin and to the people of Russia on behalf of the Government and people of the Republic of Seychelles. 

In his message, President Faure described the attack as callous and aimed at innocent people with the sole purpose of propagating an ideology of hate. "The people of Seychelles and I stand shoulder to shoulder with people and the Government of Russia in this dark moment. Our thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families and with Russia," said President Faure.
