Parliamentary State Secretary Thomas Silberhorn visits Namibia

During the visit of the Parliamentary State Secretary, political discussions are planned in the run-up to the government consultations on development cooperation which will be held from 7 to 8 February, as well as on the Africa priorities of the German G20 presidency and the joint implementation of the UN development goals

WINDHOEK, Namibia, January 31, 2017/APO/ --

From 1 to 3 February 2017, Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development, Mr Thomas Silberhorn, is expected in Namibia. Thomas Silberhorn is also “German Governor” of the African Development Bank. 

During the visit of the Parliamentary State Secretary, political discussions are planned in the run-up to the government consultations on development cooperation which will be held from 7 to 8 February, as well as on the Africa priorities of the German G20 presidency and the joint implementation of the UN development goals. 

Furthermore, project visits, inter alia, the FABLab Namibia, the Windhoek sewage recovery plant Goreangab and the Tsumis Agricultural Training Center are planned.

The media is welcome to attend the below events but need to arrange their own transport:

  • Visit of FABLab, 3 Haydn Street on 2 February at 12:00 a.m. 
  • Visit to Tsumis Agricultural Training Center on 3 February at 12:00 a.m
